Ensemble "Pirin"
The Pirin Folk song and dances State Ensemble was founded in 1954 in Blagoevgrad. This town is located in South western Bulgaria- an area famous for its natural beauties and featuring 7 mountains and rivers.
The Pirin folk Ensemble was founded 50 years ago in Blagoevgrad. In 1954 it took the long and difficult way towards the spiritual world of its contemporaries. Today it has completed this voyage: the ensemble has visited many countries on several continents....

The Ensemble has performed in 50 countries,
with more than 6,500 concerts and attendance of 6,500,000 visitors. It has also produced many audio tapes, video films, and CDs. Over 60 different types of refined national costumes, are worn by its artistic groups.

Unfortunately Prof.Stefanov left us forever on the 14'th of november 2005 year.

For many long years Pirin's Chief Art Director and Conductor was Prof.Kiril Stefanov.He was the man behind the ensemble's huge success.
More than 45 years he has worked ceaselessly in order to promote the Bulgaria folk music and dance art.
Kiril Stefanov is still one of the most famous composers and authors in the folk-performance genre in Bulgaria.
